Nail Colour Of The Week #2

What colour have I been wearing this week?

Its that time of the week where I get to show you what my choice of colour has been for this week.  I shall be showing you one of my favourite ranges that BarryM supply, and that is the Matte finish. I was a little apprehensive about this range as I was not completely sold on the idea at first, but as soon as I saw it on my nails I fell in love straight away and of course went out and bought every colour that they had. I shop with this motto in mind ‘if you like it buy it in every colour’ Lets take a look to see what you think.

This is a beautiful subtle colour, when ever I wear it I end up craving chocolate quite a lot due to it chocolaty mocha colour. the Matte finish is so stunning and complements the shade so well, your fingers look almost edible themselves. You need to take a lot more care when applying the matte range as it take a little longer to dry. I find the best way to apply the polish is in thin layers, allowing each layer to dry first before re applying more. The paint dries a lot quicker using layers and you also get to judge how dark you want the shade to be.

Like any other times you paint your nails it is important to apply a top coat to finish the look and to help protect and make it longer lasting. Obviously applying a normal top coat will leave you with a shiny look and that will just not do for the matte look you are after. So BarryM have lovingly created a matte finish top coat just for the occasion, YAY! Please make sure that your nails are completely dry before using the top coat or you will smudge it and have to start all over again, I had many mishaps while getting used to this nail paint, lots of trial and error but hopefully after you read this post you will be pros from the beginning and see beautiful results from the start. Patients is key with this stuff but well worth it in the end. I hope you have enjoyed the read, I would love to know what you think of the matte range and what colours you have loved the best. speak soon.

love Jessie Jones
